“Façade Design & Engineering Asia was the first conference in Singapore on façade engineering for more than 5 years and gave the speakers, who were all significant players in the field, a great opportunity to network. Seeing each others approach and progress in various fields was valuable.”
Glazing and façade systems have very large impact on all aspects of l building performance. High-performance, low-energy façade actively recognize and optimize synergistic impacts on lighting and heating, ventilation, and HVAC energy uses, achieving greater energy-efficiency, comfort, and amenity than conventional piecemeal solutions.
Moving towards the ever expanding and demanding building and construction industry in China, IQPC announces Façade Design & Engineering China, in Beijing, China on 28-29 November 2011.
Façade Design & Engineering China will introduce to you some of the groundbreaking façade projects in the world; such as the super high-rise building Shanghai Tower and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa; zero-energy media façade – GreenPix in Beijing; six green stars project One Bligh Street in Sydney and many more.
Being part of the industry, we welcome you to be part of this forum to discuss high performance façades that are both aesthetically pleasing to the eye and structurally brilliant. Attend Façade Design & Engineering China and learn from best practice technologies and case studies and implement these in your projects!
We look forward welcoming you in Beijing this November.
The Shanghai Tower, CHINA The super-tall Shanghai Tower features undulating, transparent façades that are visible from all directions. The tower’s taper and asymmetry reduce wind load on the building by 24%, offering considerable savings in both building material and construction costs.
Burj Khalifa, UAE The exterior cladding of the world’s current tallest building is comprised of reflective glazing with aluminum and textured stainless steel spandrel panels as well as stainless steel vertical tubular fins. The cladding system is designed to withstand Dubai’s extreme summer heat while ensuring it’s structural integrity.
GreenPix, CHINA GreenPix – Zero Energy Media Wall – is a groundbreaking project applying sustainable and digital media technology to the curtain wall of the Xicui entertainment complex. Featuring the world’s largest color LED display and the first photovoltaic system integrated into a glass curtain wall.
One Bligh Street, AUSTRALIA This development utilises a double glass façade which has been a core contributor in the building receiving a world leading 6-star green star from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA); that is one of the first of its kind globally.
